I am a 23-year old recent
college graduate (Hook ’em!) trying my hand at this whole real world thing. I
am currently living in Houston, Texas (born and raised), and I teach English
and coach volleyball at Bellaire High School. Go Cardinals!
A little bit about the girl
behind the blog. Obviously, I love fitness, and I love frozen yogurt. But more
specifically, I love running. I developed a passion for it when I went off to
college in what I consider to be one of the fittest cities in the United
States. Because I no longer had daily volleyball practice to keep me in shape,
I had to find something to keep the Freshman 15 from plaguing me. See more on
Why I Run here, but fitness in general is a huge part of who I am, and it’s
something I am very passionate about, and I also believe that you can have fun
doing it.
Some of the other things I
enjoy are reading, writing, photography, traveling, cooking, baking, watching
(and playing) sports, letters, dark chocolate, all things University of Texas,
laughing, Anthropologie, to-do lists, white wine, sunsets and sunrises, and
spending time with my incredible family and friends.
My faith is a huge part of who
I am, and I strive to make Jesus known through the way I live my life. Though I
fail Him daily, He never leaves me and He always loves me. He has humbled me,
broken me, and has brought me more joy than I ever thought possible. I take comfort
in the truth that I am made new each day, and that Jesus is a constant in a
life that is constantly changing.
I hope you guys enjoy all that
this blog has to offer. Thanks for stopping by and being a part of my daily
ramblings. It means the world to me knowing that there are people who enjoy
reading what I write, and I hope each and every one of you can take something
away from fitnessandfroyo. I love hearing from my readers, so please don’t hesitate to
contact me or follow me on any and all forms of social media!
