Things I'm Loving Friday XII

Happy Friday from my house in Houston! My last Houston visit before it once again becomes my home. And I have mixed feelings about that one, for sure. But, I am happy to be here for the weekend, so let's get started with our usual Friday happenings -

Things I'm Loving

I am not going to lie, I love this blog feature that I stole from Julie of Peanut Butter Fingers. It's such an easy way to wrap up a week and share some of my favorite foods, restaurants, books, articles, and other things with you guys.

Pure Barre
I'm sure you guys are really surprised to see this one on here. I took my first Pure Barre class on July 4th, and I am officially hooked. It's hard to talk me out of doing straight cardio, but this workout has (finally) convinced me that it's not necessary to do all cardio all the time (and with this sentiment, I know Dylan is pulling his hair out because he tells me that all the time). I love the total body workout I get, and that each class follows the same structure, but is also so different from the last. As I've said before, time absolutely flies, I'm left feeling energized, and  I don't think I'll be giving up this routine anytime soon!

SkinCueticals Clarifying Clay Masque
Normally I turn down any offers to buy additional products at any sort of boutique, but I have been coming to Beautique in Houston for many years for all sorts of services, so when they recommended me this clay face mask, I knew they weren't just trying to make the sale. I went ahead and splurged on it, even though I was a little bit skeptical, because I normally hate things that harden on my face. This non-drying mask exfoliates, decongests, and calms my skin, and though I probably frightened my roommates the first time I used it, I am sold on it.

Bark Thins Dark Chocolate Almond With Sea Salt
I once again found myself at Target one day, and I once again walked away with things I didn't originally intend to buy. The Target display really knows how to reel me in, because as soon as I saw that there were no milk byproducts in these bark thins, they were in my basket. Chocolate with the added crunch from nuts is one of my favorite indulgences, and I look forward to trying the Blueberry Quinoa with Agave and Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut with Almonds flavors as well.

Word Crimes
I was sent a link to this video on Tuesday, and you guys probably know by now that I am not a huge video watcher. As in, when someone sends me a video, I'm not likely to watch it. I was told that this video was "perfect for English teachers," and my curiosity got the best of me. I'm sure glad it did because this video had me laughing away at the desk. This Robin Thicke parody by "Weird Al" Yankovic and perfect for those who cringe at the use of improper grammar.

And on that note, I'm off to get started on a major to-do list. Have a great one!
